2019 Is Going To Be A Very Exciting Year For Subaru

It may be hard to believe that we are already well into 2019 and Subaru has already unveiled a number of new and redesigned models. But Subaru isn't done yet! There is even more exciting news to come.

2019 is a big year for Subaru with brand new models as well as two, and soon to be three, totally redesigned models. As well as the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive SUV in America, the new Crosstrek Hybrid which gets a jaw-dropping 90 MPGe without compromising Subaru's legendary performance. The 2019 Ascent is the largest and most powerful Subaru SUV yet with seating for up to 8, 86.5 cubic feet of maximum cargo space, and a 260 horsepower 2.4L turbocharged BOXER engine under the hood.

The other new Subaru that has rally car drivers all over Twin Falls at the edge of their seats is the first ever STI S209 available America. For years the S209 has only been available overseas and Subaru fans have been only been dreaming about getting behind the wheel. The new Subaru STI S209 delivers a higher level of performance and style that is the most powerful, best handling and exciting Subaru Tecnica International mode ever made. Powering the S209 is a powerful 2.5L turbocharged BOXER engine that kicks out an impressive 341 horsepower and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for commanding grip on the road. In addition to the most powerful BOXER engine yet, the S209 features a performance-focused chassis with flexible strut tower bar and draw stiffeners as well as Brembo Brakes with high-friction pads. The roar of the BOXER engine on the S209 will be unmistakable, just like its aggressively bold look with wide fenders, front canards and rear wing in two eye-popping colors; World Rally Blue Pearl and Crystal White Pearl.

At this past Chicago Auto Show the totally redesigned 2020 Subaru Legacy was unveiled and this Legacy is the most advanced Legacy ever. As well as the most stylish and luxurious Legacy year with a sleek modern style, more premium interior materials that include Nappa Leather, and a more quiet ride thanks to the Subaru Global Platform. The 2020 Legacy will come standard with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology and will be available with DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. Another new feature of the 2020 Legacy is the available tablet-style high-definition STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia infotainment system. The 2020 Legacy will have two BOXER engines to choose from, both of which are more powerful and efficient than the current BOXER engines.

The 2019 Subaru Forester made its big stage debut last year but hit the ground running when it arrived at dealerships earlier this year. We expect the 2020 Outback to arrive with the redesigned 2.5L four-cylinder BOXER engine with 182 horsepower and the 2.4L turbo BOXER with 260 horsepower as well as the latest version of EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. Which now includes Lane Centering Function to provide steering assist when the outback veers outside its lane.
