The 2020 Subaru Legacy is a “Best Car To Buy” nominee

Best car to buy in 2020
Every year, the editors at Thecarconnections.com drive hundreds of new vehicles and compile a list of all the best new cars and SUV  that shoppers should be aware of. After driving so many vehicles, they concluded that in this day and age, there is no “Bad” new car, however some rise above the rest. Subaru of Twin Falls is proud to report that both the 2020 Subaru Outback and the 2020 Subaru Legacy have been nominated.

In 2019, the Subaru Forester was nominated and was voted Best Car to buy is 2019. Thecarconnections.com said “no other 2019 vehicle matched the Forester's blend of function, comfort, safety, and value.” This is why we are very pleased to see the 2020 Outback and 2020 Legacy enter the competition this year. In a day and age where SUV are dominating the market, it is a real pleasure to see that the 2020 Legacy is still turning heads.

Here are four main reasons why we think the 2020 Subaru Legacy is superior to other sedan in its category.

Powertrain

The Legacy comes with a 2.5 liter flat 4 engine, good for 182 horsepower and 176 lbs feet of torque. Those looking for a little more pop can opt for a turbocharged 2.4 liter which pumps out 260 horsepower and 277 lbs feet of torque. Both engines come with the CVT transmission that sends power to all corners via Subaru's famous All wheel drive system. The standard setup delivers 27 mpg city 35 highway, while the turbo unit comes in a 24 city, 32 highway.

All Wheel Drive

Need I say more? We all know and love the Subaru Symmetrical All Wheel Drive. The fact that Subaru offers this amazing AWD system as a standard feature is a great advantage. Why buy a 2 wheel drive when you can have an All wheel drive for the same price?

Interior Design

The newly redesigned dashboard of the 2020 Subaru Legacy has plenty of angles and details but avoids looking busy and all the touch points and switches feel high quality.

There is brand new and  fantastic looking 11” touch screen infotainment center that is well integrated and neatly framed by buttons and dials for the radio climate controls. The Legacy can spaciously seat  up to 5 passengers and 15 point of cubic feet of space in the trunk.

Safety

Last but not least, the Safety features of the Legacy are mind blowing! It comes standard with Subaru eyesight technology which includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and pre-collision throttle management. You can read more about the Eyesight right here.
